Friday 15 March 2010, Global Management and Manufacturing students participated in the fourth GMM Day at AU-IBT organized the by the GMM Association.
Students from all semesters were gathered in the Unimerco auditorium to participate in several presentations on various issues they face as students and graduates. The event was a great opportunity to meet with students from different semesters, and gain additional knowledge in areas of high relevance to their studies.
Let’s learn something
The GMMs met with Hanne Boutrup, professional speaker and Communications Director at LEGO Group, who gave a speech on presentation techniques and personal marketing, which can help students and graduates present their abilities in the most effective way.
This year’s event featured presentations by two fellow engineers who recently graduated from the GMM study programme. The speakers shared their experience concerning their work as engineers in a global company and answered the students’ questions regarding their future as graduates.
Furthermore, the students listened to presentations by:
Mads R. Andreasen, Management Consultant at M-Management Consulting on the subject Lean, Production Development, the Personal Interaction and how the Financial Crisis has/will affect these areas
Steen Ammentrop from Infogate on the subject Collecting knowledge and how companies have altered needs after the financial crisis
Preben Pedersen from Automatic-Consult on the subject Automation of the production.
The GMM Association is already in the early stages of planning another exciting GMM Day in the autumn.
